For the past few days when I go on the Library and click the Main Page words the main page doesn't show up any more, I have to click on the Forums word to get onto the site...can anyone tell me what's going on? Is this a permanent thing?

hello

go to userCP...you will find it in the tool bar at the top ....

when you get there...to the left side toolbar..look for edit avatar...you may up load one of you own or down load one from the menu...

your avatar must be no bigger then 150x150

Since a couple of weeks now, I've had an error-page coming up when I try to edit a review.

Funny thing is, when I open a Forum page in a new tab, the problem's gone and I can edit my heart out. Also strange is the fact that later, when I again close the Forum tab, I still can edit.

After having closed my browser and come back, I again am unable to edit and have to open the Forum page to get rid of the error.

I'm using Firefox as a browser, and recently was upgraded to the 3.05 version. Maybe that has sumtin to do with it? Seems I for some reason can no longer add my cookie to the jar...

Ah, almost forgot: the error reads "Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

Please note that I'm replying to JimmyJump, NOT to Torq.

This problem is not limited to FireFox. I'm using Safari 1.3.2, and for me it additionaly affects my ability to respond to other posters' reviews. Clearing cookies (at Torq's suggestion) worked for me, but everytime I leave the site and return I need to clear again. Since this makes it tedious to navigate to/from/within any other site, I've simply given up on responding to reviews, which is unfortunate.

Am I correct in remembering that FireFox and Safari share a common origin?

I didn't have a URL in my response. In fact, I hadn't used any bbcode or anything, it was just plain text. Anyone else recognise this problem?

I know there was an update to help deter the onslaught of spammers we had it really should only happen if you are trying to link into the post body with a URL of another site or of Images.

Just wondering, but i can't seem to find any edit buttons in normal threads like i used to? Typos drive me insane, lol, so i used that button a lot! Is it just me, or is it gone?

Editing a post is only available for 15 minutes max after the post. Otherwise not available. the reason for this is unfortunately issues from the past with members changing posts after "issues".

Yep. Go to your User CP and on the list at the left, at the bottom, click on attachments and you'll see all that you have uploaded.

The last few days I have had problems with the site. The problems have been an inability to log in, everything resulting in a datatbase error, slow or non loading pages, and inability to go to main chat. I can log in at least now. But hopefully this will all get fixed. I was getting very frustrated when for like 1-2 days everything I clicked on resulted in a database error and I could not log in or follow the contact us link to tell anyone of my woes, and Google could not provide me with a support email for the site. In the future perhaps it would be good if a generic support email is listed when you hover over the contact us link, or is just known to the general public/me or something. Maybe this is already the case and I am just unaware...

UPDATE: My avatar and profile pic have reverted to those of an earlier date, so has my signature, my profile information, and my profile's visitor messages. I forgot to check my friends list, but I wouldn't be surprised to find it has changed to. Something is definitely up here.

FURTHER UPDATE: All my friends are gone from my friend list. I'm now friendless.

yes the entire site was/is down, they prolly had to do a reset to the earlier date in order to correct the problem.
The last time this happened, it was a hacker with a malicious attack.
Rest assured that Tiger and the tech team are working on these issues, (much appreciated to for all the hard work - big hugs...if I could send cookies, I would)
Hopefully this will get fixed really soon

Itd appear to be a database rollback to an earlier backup (3/30-2009 to be excact)
Hopefully this is just to get the site running. Because if not everything since then is lost including my profile.
